This is where it all started, our original espresso blend. Drawing inspiration from the Italian coffees we’d been importing for years, we created a medium roast that retains sweetness, lots of fruit, and a great body that cuts beautifully through milk. A cracking espresso!
Darker than 666 and more southern Italian in styling, this blend is a refined heavy weight. Boom delivers a fantastic chocolate kick and heavy mouth-feel. This punchy coffee is perfect for larger servings (12oz take-outs) and those that like their coffee more pronounced!
We created this blend out of pure selfishness…a blend that we’d love to drink at home. And the name stuck. Using two fantastic South American origins, expect a wonderfully fruity coffee with notes of marzipan and hazelnut, a silky mouth-feel and perfectly balanced acidity.
By using the CO2 method of decaffeination (come and see us for a brief science lesson) this chemical-free process is more gentle, healthier and creates no nasty by-products, meaning we can retain the natural products of the coffee, which you’ll taste in the cup.
Born 40 is the alter ego of Homeblend, the ying to its yang! If you like your coffee leaning more heavily towards the chocolatey, nutty and biscuity end of the coffee spectrum, this is it!
